PHILADELPHIA, PA - September 15, 2026 -
Meso Lawyer, founding partner of Green & Schafle, LLC, has launched MesoLawyerPA, a statewide legal resource for Pennsylvania residents and families dealing with a mesothelioma or asbestos disease diagnosis. The site went live this summer and now publishes more than 190 attorney-reviewed pages covering Pennsylvania asbestos law, the Philadelphia asbestos docket, asbestos bankruptcy trusts, and the industrial sites and trades where exposure occurred across the state.
The resource is organized around the questions a family faces after a diagnosis rather than around the law firm. A Pennsylvania law section explains the two-year limitations period under 42 Pa. C.S. § 5524, how the discovery rule applies when a disease appears decades after exposure, and how wrongful death and survival actions differ. A separate section describes the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas asbestos program, In re: Asbestos Litigation, No. 1986-00001, where Schafle serves as counsel, and explains what the docket means for scheduling and case handling.
Exposure history is the largest part of the site. Eighty-eight city and town pages cover Pennsylvania communities from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to Ambler, Chester, Johnstown, and Erie. Twenty-five pages document named exposure sites, including the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Sun Shipbuilding in Chester, Bethlehem Steel, the U.S. Steel works of the Monongahela Valley, and the Keasbey & Mattison plant in Ambler. Sixteen occupation pages describe how insulators, boilermakers, pipefitters, steelworkers, railroad workers, and other trades encountered asbestos on the job. A veterans section addresses Navy and shipyard service and the separate VA claim process.
"Most of what families find online about mesothelioma is written for a national audience and says almost nothing about Pennsylvania," said Michael C. Schafle, Esq. - Meso Lawyer, founding partner of Green & Schafle, LLC. "The point of this site is to answer the Pennsylvania questions: which court, which deadline, which plants, which trusts, and what the process actually looks like from a diagnosis in Erie or Chester or South Philadelphia."
The asbestos trust fund section explains how the bankruptcy trusts established by former asbestos manufacturers operate alongside civil litigation, with individual pages on the Johns-Manville, Owens Corning, Armstrong, W.R. Grace, USG, Celotex, and Pittsburgh Corning trusts. Medical pages describing mesothelioma, asbestosis, and asbestos-related lung cancer cite the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society and are labeled as general information rather than medical advice.
Every legal page carries a dated review stamp identifying Schafle as the reviewing attorney, and the site identifies Green & Schafle, LLC as the responsible law firm. Schafle has been admitted in Pennsylvania since 2005 and is also admitted in New Jersey. His Pennsylvania attorney record is published by the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for mass tort litigation each year since 2017 and in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers from 2021 through 2026.

"A mesothelioma case in Pennsylvania is built from records that can be forty or fifty years old: union books, plant histories, shipyard rosters, and testimony from earlier asbestos cases," Schafle said. "The site lays out how that evidence is gathered and how it fits together, so a family understands the work before they decide whether to pursue a claim."
The site offers a free, confidential case review by online form or by telephone at (484) 210-5825, and states that its content is attorney advertising, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and does not predict the outcome of any individual matter.
